"Not My Fault", Says The Voter!

As I alluded...if not expressly stated...in the comments section of articles, blog and other social media posts, Trump and/or the GOP is not responsible for the outcome of the 2026 Midterm Elections.  The American voters are.  Exclusively.  Let's consider:

First of all, there are those in this country who always vote Democrat.  They're very stupid people and there's little anyone on the center-right side of the divide can do about that.  Just as Jesus said of the poor, we will always have the stupid among us.  And while all political parties have their share of stupid people supporting them, by far the party with the largest percentage of stupid people supporting them is the Democrat Party.  If we include other leftist parties, like the Communists and Greens, that's a LOT of stupid!  The GOP doesn't come close.  And I can say that with full confidence just by considering, not just the party platforms, but how much more radical the left has become.  (The DSA isn't really a separate party.  It is the Democrat Party!)  When one looks at their platform, what they've said right into open microphones on purpose, how they respond to anything remotely conservative or Christian, it's impossible for an honest person to make the case that there's good reason to support them.  (Just consider years of Dan's posts to know that's true) The Democrat voter is too stupid, too tolerant of so much that is wrong and evil and often participants in much of it, too ignorant of facts and evidence and too intellectually lazy to really study and/or seek truth.  That's stupid, and so they vote Democrat.  In recent years, they've voted for far more of the most radical candidates, as if they want to make sure we all are fully aware of just how stupid they are.

So set that reality aside for a moment.

On the side of America, our stupid people are those who are intellectually "too big for their britches".  They see defect and flaw in policies and actions and the lack of perfection and think they're actually going to "teach them a lesson" by staying home or jumping ship, the latter of which is like screaming, "I hate my children!"  A few reports I've seen spoke of fewer young men voting GOP this time around and fewer Latinos voting GOP this time around. And the pundits have been providing lists of reasons why, all related to the actions and/or inaction of Trump and/or the GOP.  A lot of these pundits I follow regularly and regard as really intelligent, with a good sense of what's going on.  But how can they get this wrong?

Well, I believe they get it wrong by analyzing the midterm results in terms of blame, as if normally GOP voters were made to stay home or jump ship...as if they have no agency and are the sheep-like cultists conned by Trump as the sheep-like cultists conned by "progressive-ism" likes to assert.  "Trump said 'no new wars' and we're warring with Iran!"  "The war with Iran drove up costs...tariffs drove up costs...the price of gas is too high (though it's still lower than it was during the Biden years)..." and a host of other issues used to rationalize how or if the stupid voted.  We're hearing that Trump and/or the GOP didn't do more to inform the public of why they were doing what they've been doing or why they haven't yet done what they said they were going to do.

All of that is perfectly reasonable explanation for the frustration of center-right voters.  So if one insists on speaking of "blame", Trump/the GOP can thus rightly be blamed for that frustration.

And there the story ends.

From that point, the story is about the voters and how they responded to their frustration.  They still have the "lesser of two evils" choice which still favors the GOP.  How can anyone argue against that?  And if the choice is in the hands of each individual voter, how can anyone argue that they are forced to stay home or jump ship due to whatever perceived error was made by Trump or the GOP?  It's good to whine, complain, rant, suspect and directly as possible make one's feelings known to the offending politician or party.  But who's doing that and how much?  And if few are doing that, then that, too, puts the blame for the outcome on them...the voters.  Those who won't discuss politics as well as those who won't breach the subject for fear of disparagement for daring to do so are to blame.  Those who reject their family and friends because of politics (mostly Dems do this) are to blame for refusing to stand in and confront opposing opinions and arguments which, if sincerely considered, might change one's mind, or, provoke a better argument to change the mind of the other.

But still, at the end of the day, the only thing which matters is this:  does that failure of the politician or party truly mean the other candidate is better for us?  There's absolutely no argument which makes that answer "yes".  The Democrat party is still the party of death and perversion and marxism.  They will still waste our tax dollars and make life difficult for those who refuse to be one more useful idiot.

We keep our people in power and in between elections pressure them like hell to do their jobs as WE insist they should be. THAT'S how it's supposed to work and no failure or bad policy by our guys justifies letting the scumbags take over.  I blame the voters, because that's where the blame belongs.  Not on "Trump's war" or because it raised gas prices or any of the other legitimate concerns illegitimately used to place blame on anyone other than those who actually cast the votes.
