Sad News

I don't think I'll be attempting to comment at Dan's blog anymore...except to post snark.  There's no point in trying to engage in legitimate, honest discourse where a major coward can't assure one one's comments and responses won't be deleted on the weakest of reasons.  You'll note that even with multiple demands on my part that Dan refrain from proceeding on tangents and such, as well as repeated requests that his fake Christian ass cease references to God/Christ as if he actually believes in Him, I've not deleted any of his bullshit comments.  I've been pretty clear I'm not into that fascistic cancellation of opposing thoughts, views and opinions, even when they're as stupid, non-factual and immoral as that so common to the likes of Dan.

In his latest puke-fest, I attempted to respond to his lying about conservative objections to Biden's student loan redistribution, as well as his corruption of Scripture intended to legitimize it.  He hasn't the integrity, maturity or manhood to meet my comments head-on, but instead deletes them as always because he has no legit argument.

As to Biden's student loan criminality, "forgiveness" can only come from the aggrieved.  I can't forgive someone for an act not perpetrated against me, but against another.  If someone slaps me, I can forgive them.  If someone slaps my friend, it's up to my friend to forgive.  If someone owes me money, I can forgive the debt and take on the hardship of the lost amount out of my own sense of Christian charity.  But if someone owes my friend money, I can't tell the person who owes that he no longer owes and force the hardship of the lost amount on my friend.  It's not my debt to forgive.  Biden didn't lend this money.  The Department of Education...or whatever federal department facilitated the loan of our tax dollars...didn't lend this money.  That money belongs to the people...ALWAYS...not the federal (or state or local) government.  It's bad enough the feds chose to loan out our money.  It's far worse they chose to tell the welchers they don't have to pay us back.  There's no Scripture...despite Dan's listing of verses and passages that have no application to this situation...which supports a government forcing it citizens to pay off the loans of others.  None, and Dan's a liar for daring to corrupt Scripture to appear to do so.  His understanding of Jubilee is false and his use of verses dealing with forgiveness don't at all apply.

In the following article,

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/08/student_loan_transferral_ought_to_be_the_nail_in_the_coffin_for_democrats.html

...the author asks this question:

"Why should you pay for this agenda if you are among the following people?

  • People who never went to college

  • People whose tuition was paid by the Armed Forces for service to our country

  • People who worked their way through college and did not incur debt

  • People who have already paid off their college debt

  • People whose parents were willing and able to pay for their college, perhaps because they chose inexpensive community colleges for their freshman and sophomore years, and in-state universities for their junior and senior years, over pricey private schools

  • People who placed out of a semester or even a year of college through high school advanced placement courses

  • People who finished their degrees in four years

  • People who earned degrees in fields such as nursing, engineering, and physical sciences that pay sufficiently high starting salaries to justify any debt they incurred "

Dan has no real answer, but only perverse bastardizations of the Scripture of which he has no legitimate understanding.

UPDATE:  I would be remiss if I didn't clarify one point...Dan did not delete the last comment I posted when I decided to do this post.  The threat, however, was stated for subsequent comments.  Not a whole lot of difference, but I don't want to be accused over such a trivial misstatement.

The loan debacle is one of the most obvious ways that the Left doesn't care about doing what is right. It is completely indefensible. The only good thing is that it "outs" anyone supporting it.

Great points about forgiveness. As usual, the Left is offering "forgiveness" with someone else's money - and doing so by threat of force.

I read an article about that said that Christians ought to cheer that student loan thing because Christians historically have helped people in trouble even though they themselves were poor. Apparently the voluntary, "from the heart" nature of such help is lost on these people. Stealing from the haves (even if they have little) to help the have nots (even if they caused their own problems) is not "Christian charity." Jesus said it was better to give than to receive, but He didn't say "It is better to be taxed than to receive."

Marshal,

Where is this blog that you comment on at?

Art,

I'd be willing to bet that a significant number of these loans to be transferred were taken out by children of middle/upper middle/upper class parents, but are eligible for forgiveness because that child has chosen a major or job with a low income ceiling.

I think you addressed this elsewhere, but wouldn't it make sense to eliminate the feds, and private companies from giving loans direct to students, but instead have the institutions of higher learning manage these loans out of their endowments or by getting loans from other sources? It seems like if the institutions had skin in the game, that they wouldn't loan hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for a degree that won't allow the student to earn enough to pay it back? Or at least limit the number of students in those programs to a number that can fill the actual need for those jobs?

I think this is what's ultimately so frustrating about this topic. Arguing about this loan transfer ignores the real problems and do nothing about solving the actual problems.

Neil,

The buying of votes is the entire point of the exercise.

Stan,

To tax anyone and then pretend one has helped the poor indicates one isn't required to use one's own abilities and resources in order to assume the role of "helper of the poor". Indeed, it apparently doesn't require doing a thing to so portray one's self. How convenient!

Craig,

I've already seen a few articles speaking to the fact that enough of these borrowers are not from impoverished families, including one which speaks to how many on Biden's staff will benefit.

I definitely advocate for eliminating all federal student loan programs in favor of private sector options, which by their nature, vie for business and in doing so provide the best possible terms, without stabbing themselves in the heart to do so. Not everyone is entitled to a loan, nor should they be. Not everyone needs to go to "the very best schools" when local community colleges and other options will get them the education they need.

The real problems are instigated once again by the federal government involving itself. It led to higher educational costs, higher health care costs and a number of other issues the private sector handled well enough. This leftist attempt to draw support through bribery is at the heart of almost all of this.

Jesse,

I hesitate to do this, but the blog in question is...

http://throughthesewoods.blogspot.com//

However, it's instructional in the sense that one can get a sense of what living under fascism is like.

Wow, Feodore leaves comments at that site. He appears to be Dan's close sidekick, but is the nastier and more vicious person of the two. Feodore is nuttier than ten Christmas fruitcakes. I cannot help but notice that the individual paintings which Dan Trabue displays at the beginning of each of his articles are horribly done. Did he create those himself? It doesn't really matter. The bottom line is that everything the left promotes is unnatural and debased.

feo is a special case. I hope he finds help soon. I'm not holding my breath.

Dan does a lot of the artwork for his posts. It's an "eye of the beholder" kind of thing. Some I like, most I don't, but I given him credit for putting it out there. I've thought of doing some of my own, but just can't seem to care enough to put in the effort. Maybe someday.

Dan's blog is nothing but serving after serving of LEFTIST kool-aid and Feo is one of those who suck it up like a calf on a cow's teats.

Feo is like Dan's Remora. He's attached to Dan and they are pretty much inseparable.

Craig,
