We don't need to secure the borders. Hell, no. Those poor immigrants coming here to make a better life for themselves is all that's important and by golly we can't, if we're to remain good and Godly people, do one single thing to inhibit their ability to enter at will. Why criminalize the foreigner with whimsical laws for crossing imaginary lines? Aside from the fact that only an idiot would think an unregulated influx of just anyone, even the "hard working people trying to save their families from imminent starvation", is a good idea, here's why.
Oh hell, I'm sure it's just right-wing fear mongering. Nothing to it at all. No, no, it's just racism under the guise of "national security". Yeah, like any sovereign nation needs to worry about something like THAT! Those wing nuts! They're so goofy!!

I know one thing for certain Marshall. You are certainly addicted to American Thinker's thinking.
Maybe if you read it for awhile you'd learn something. AmericanThinker is a collection of the essays and opinion pieces of many different people. Are you like all the other lefties that bloviate about AT without actually reading the articles? OR, if you actually do read the articles, are you, like the rest, unable to comment on the points being made in those articles so you will instead take the position that merely dismisses the entire site as not worth the time? Have I not responded to the actual articles to which YOU have linked? Wouldn't it frustrate you if I merely blew them off without reading what you took the trouble to find and present?
But I'm not "addicted" to anything more than factual reporting that doesn't seek to use some facts to pump up their argument while leaving out details that would prove the argument is false or stupid.
However, I'm not afraid to say that I value AT for it's logic (never disputed by any of my lefty visitors except by saying they write poorly and are racists) and common sense, as well as it's common practice of linking to supporting evidence and testimonies when making a case. I also value Human Events, American Spectator, National Review and quite a few others, some of which are listed under the heading "Places of Interest".
"common sense"
Dont get me started...
"illegal"
Ma... its impossible for a living, breathing human being to be illegal.
Really, use that common sense of yours.
"Ma... its impossible for a living, breathing human being to be illegal.
Really, use that common sense of yours."
The same is said by libs of the term "illegitimate" as regards bastards. But the term doesn't apply to the person, but the circumstances under which person is being identified for the purposes of discussion. Such aliesn are "illegal" because they have acted illegally. Breaking our immigration and border crossing laws is what is illegal. And since these people have broken those laws, they are commonl referred to as "illegals". Referred to by virtue of their actions. Perhaps some common sense might have helped you understand this incredibly common and widely understood expression.
So consider yourself "started", Parky-boy (or girl, as the case may be) and teach me about common sense. I'm always open to comedy and entertainment.
OK, here is my comment on this AT article:
The attack on The World Trade Center on 9/11 was carried out by 19 men, most of them Saudis. Correct me if I'm wrong. All were in the country legally.
Why criminalize the foreigner with whimsical laws for crossing imaginary lines?
As soon as a foot steps across the border, the owner of that foot becomes a criminal, even if he wasn't before. The US didn't criminalize anybody. When a non-US citizen crosses the border into The US, he criminalizes himself.
The act of entering the US illegally makes him an illegal alien, NOT AN IMMIGRANT!!!
Jim,
All of the hijackers were in violation of immigration laws in some manner. See this for more info. The site contains more details if you do a search.
But let's assume they were all perfectly legal, or even naturalized. How would that lessen the importance of the info provided in the link? And wouldn't that actually mean greater scrutiny and stricter controls on entry to this country? I think you help my cause rather than weaken it.
Ma,
You're not writing in english. I'm going to need to see some papers.
"And wouldn't that actually mean greater scrutiny and stricter controls on entry to this country? I think you help my cause rather than weaken it."
And they all crossed the border in Mexico!
Nope.
It was Canada!!
Not.
They flew in.
"And wouldn't that actually mean greater scrutiny and stricter controls on entry to this country? I think you help my cause rather than weaken it."
Marshall, let's take a look at the most recent arrests for terrorism, shall we?
Connecticut:
Faisal Shahzad, 30, a naturalized U.S. citizen, worked as a junior financial analyst in the accounting department at the Elizabeth Arden cosmetics company in Stamford, Connecticut.
Pleaded guilty to assembling and leaving car bomb in Times Square.
Knows how to speak Spanish? No.
New Jersey:
Mohamed Mahmood Alessa, 20, and Carlos Eduardo Almonte, 24, American citizens, Alessa was born in the United States and Almonte is a naturalized citizen who was born in the Dominican Republic.
Accused of seeking terror training from al-Qaida-affiliated jihadists and to unleash attacks against fellow Americans
Know how to speak Spanish? Well, one does.
Brooklyn:
Wesam El-Hanafi, 33, a native New Yorker, and Sabirhan Hasanoff, 34, a dual citizen of the United States and Australia. Hanafi worked for Lehman Brothers, Hasanoff for PricewaterhouseCoopers as an accountant.
Accused of trying to modernize an Al Qaeda cell in Yemen with computer and technical equipment.
Knew Spanish? Nope.
And the pièce de résistance, as it were:
Army barracks,
Maj. Nidal Hasan, born in Virginia, US Army Major, psychiatrist.
Accused of mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.
Speaks Spanish?
Nope.
Mexican border involved in any of these?
Nope.
Canadian, then?
Nope.
Marshall: dope, dope, dope.
"You're not writing in english. I'm going to need to see some papers."
You're not speaking (or thinking) in wisdom. I'm going to need to see some sign of brainwave activity.
Feo,
Let me explain to your simple-minded soul what a dope is. Here's a few signs so that you can recognize one when you see him:
First, he's that guy you see in the mirror every morning.
Second, he thinks that because some terrorists came in through Canada that the focus of our national security SHOULDN'T be where the vast majority of illegals enter the country.
Third, he thinks that because he can list a few terrorist actions perpetrated by U.S. born or naturalized Muslims that evidence of Muslim with terrorist ties coming in through AZ has no value.
I won't bother expecting to see signs of brainwave activity from you, Feo. You prove constantly that you don't have any.
Who's the dope #1?
I'm pretty sure I dispelled the myth that the 9/11 terrorists and terrorist arrests in the last year may have come across any border, Canada or Mexico. That's what the word, "nope" means.
You, however, followed immediately with, the dope "thinks that because some terrorists came in through Canada..."
Who's the dope? You.
Who's the dope #2?
You're the one making that connection between spanish speaking illegal immigrants and terrorist activity. Without a basis.
Who's the dope? You.
Who's the dope #3?
"a few terrorist actions perpetrated by U.S. born or naturalized Muslims"?
These are the major arrests in the last year and more and represent the major threats to US security. I say US security, but really, except for Fort Hood, the threat and the terrorists seem to be focused on the East Coast. And when I say East Coast, it seems to be primarily the Northeast US.
I don't think Podunk, Ill. has made the list yet. And yet you're all up in arms about Arizona hispanics.
Terrorists aren't interested in Poduck, Ill., Marshal. Or Arizona. They don't target Liberty University or the Crystal Cathedral, the Mormon Tabernacle - dear to your Glenn Beck - or St. Patrick's Cathedral. They don't hate Christian America or small-town America. Fundamental Muslims target everything about America that you don't like: tolerant, miscegenated, cosmopolitan, high finance, high octane entertainment, liberal democracy America.
No fundamentalist likes these things. Muslim or Marshall.
Who's the dope? You are.
Feo,
You just don't get how stupid you are. Who is perpetuating any myth about the 9/11 terrorists or the people you've listed? Anyone? None that I've ever seen. That certainly isn't being said by anyone in the article that provoked this post. Ah! I know. While your head was up your ass, you found the myth there and pulled out to tell me about it. I get it now.
I followed up with the proper response to your stupidly irrelevant comment regarding how the 9/11 dudes got here. Their method of travel, their means of entry is irrelevant to the topic. Do you understand this, you twit?
"You're the one making that connection between spanish speaking illegal immigrants and terrorist activity. Without a basis."
No. The people in the article are. Their basis is in the evidence of those they captured trying to enter. The article refers to local and federal officials that documented this activity. You're an idiot. I'm sure they have that on file as well. If not, it's documented in the archives of this blog for all to see. And boy, do you love to show it.
"I don't think Podunk, Ill. has made the list yet. And yet you're all up in arms about Arizona hispanics."
How did you know I live in Podunk? And what kind of ass cares only for his little corner of the country then dares calls himself an American? Unlike yourself, you worthless glob of bile, it doesn't matter to most Americans that stupidity or crime or corruption isn't happening directly to them. Though they might be happy they don't have to endure such things, they don't like to see other fellow Americans endure it either. However, YOUR particular brand of stupidity is entertaining. It's fun to see someone who thinks he's so far above what he really is, expose himself as the moron you are.
You don't know a damned thing about what the terrorists like or hater. You're too busy trying to appear intelligent to actually inform yourself of their agenda. You know that old saying about how it is better remain silent and being thought a fool, rather than speak and remove all doubt? You really need to take that to heart. By now one would think you'd get the message, but each time you try to demean me, you prove just what an idiot YOU are. Once again, I thank you for the laughs. Clown.
"...brainwave activity."
Ma, all I demand is a little creativity. Try again with the insult. You're really not very good at them.
You just keep telling yourself that, parky-boy.
Marshall: "Their method of travel, their means of entry is irrelevant to the topic."
Uhm, the topic being your fetish article titled, "The War on Terror at the Mexican Border"?
I'd say that the fact that no terrorist has come into the US by either Canada or Mexico pretty much kills the ostensible argument of the article - though not its intent which is fear-mongering toward hispanics of any nationality - and pretty much kills any reason why anyone should think you know how to read.
And you're the dope who said, "that because some terrorists came in through Canada that the focus of our national security SHOULDN'T be where the vast majority of illegals enter the country" while now you say that no one passed on the myth that terrorists came in from Canada.
Here again is how you love smoke and mirrors and have no integrity or honesty.
______________
Marshall: "Their basis is in the evidence of those they captured trying to enter."
The Washington Post article cited by his fetished article from The American "Thinker": "One U.S. counterterrorism official said that while "there's reason to believe that [Hezbollah members] have looked at the southern border to enter the U.S. ... to date their success has been extremely limited."
And "Mahmoud Youssef Kourani crossed the border from Mexico in a car and traveled to Dearborn, Mich." Not exactly a border problem with illegal entry when someone just drives in.
You're such the dope.
_____________
You care for New York? Please poser, if you cared for New York you'd be documenting the worrying presence of the Russian mafia, hate crimes toward hispanics on Staten Island, lack of education funding for the poorest legal immigrants, the incredible achievement of the Harlem Children's Zone as a model for the country, and the closing of St. Vincent's hospital. None of which you know about because none of which you care about.
You're the worst of hypocrites.
Feodor writes, "no terrorist has come into the US by either Canada or Mexico"
And then, in the same comment says, "Mahmoud Youssef Kourani crossed the border from Mexico in a car and traveled to Dearborn, Mich."
Yes, it takes an intellectual giant to contradict himself in one comment.
"Marshall: "Their method of travel, their means of entry is irrelevant to the topic."
Uhm, the topic being your fetish article titled, "The War on Terror at the Mexican Border"?"
Obviously, I was referring to the 9/11 attackers. THEIR method of entry is irrelevant to the topic provoked by the article. Do I have to spell everything out to a well read, highly educated moron like you every time?
"I'd say that the fact that no terrorist has come into the US by either Canada or Mexico pretty much kills the ostensible argument of the article"
Except that the AT article cites numerous sources and uses them as examples. Apparently you think it represents the sum total. Not surprising considering your vast education. What an idiot.
"And you're the dope who said, "that because some terrorists came in through Canada that the focus of our national security SHOULDN'T be where the vast majority of illegals enter the country" while now you say that no one passed on the myth that terrorists came in from Canada."
I'll concede this very minor point, having misread your previous comments. That makes ---Marshall Art- a billion, Feodor- 1. You're catching up.
"And "Mahmoud Youssef Kourani crossed the border from Mexico in a car and traveled to Dearborn, Mich." Not exactly a border problem with illegal entry when someone just drives in."
Are you really that stupid? If such a scumbag "just drives in", there certainly IS a border problem. And since such people are not normally allowed in, his entry is illegal. And if you had bothered to read the other data the author used as the basis for his article, you'd have found out about Korani entering illegally you stupid shit.
"if you cared for New York you'd be documenting the worrying presence of the Russian mafia, hate crimes toward hispanics on Staten Island, lack of education funding for the poorest legal immigrants, the incredible achievement of the Harlem Children's Zone as a model for the country, and the closing of St. Vincent's hospital. None of which you know about because none of which you care about."
I see. So because I don't champion EVERY cause, I'm a fake. Is that the route you're taking? Really? You're serious about that? The stupidity just keeps coming from Feodor, folks. What a freakin' idiot you are!!! It's absolutely astounding that you can even put two words together (though you've proven that doesn't mean they'll make sense). You are pathetic!!! Give it up child. You are way out of your league, and considering I'm no Einstein, that speaks volumes about YOU.
Keep them laughs comin', Feodork. You're a stitch!
Lennie, pray tell what act of terrorism did Mr. Kourani commit in the U.S.?
I just realized something. If Feo's so hacked that I don't rant about New York issues, his sorry ass must reside in New York! Wow! That city DOES have problems!!!
Hey Mark. It apparently doesn't count if the scumbag didn't actually get around to committing a crime that we know about. Doesn't Feo make Dan look so much better?
Wait. That's going too far. Sorry Dan. That was a terrible thing to say about you. You're NOTHING like Feo, even with all I find objectionable about your POV.
Marshall gives up the even his paltry attempts for substance.
"Marshall gives up the even his paltry attempts for substance."
How would you know, loser? You haven't shown you understand what substance looks like.
Uhmm. What a rejoinder. You're right, Marshall. I'm way out of this league.
"What a rejoinder." Thank you. It's quite accurate. That was its purpose, not humor. But I've copied and pasted what's below in case you didn't notice it in the comments of the other post at which you're demonstrating your lack of brainpower:
I'm really pretty bored with you Feodrek. Past bored, really. I've given you rope enough by which you've hung yourself repeatedly. You offer nothing here but rank stupidity. You are NOT smart. You are not wise. You are not clever enough to insult me or show me I've ever been wrong. Your positions are pathetic and lacking in logic or common sense. You're what I'd imagine a syphillitic boil might feel like. So run along and come back when you've got something meaningful or intelligent to say. Borrow something from someone since you can't seem to come up with anything yourself.
Really child. I need something challenging for a change.
Your wish is my command, Marshall. I'm off on vacation later today. Going to France, a country where the right wing racists would seemingly appreciate you. The thing is that the French have issues with imbecility.
And wine. Can't wait for the local Provençal wine. It's the area where van Gogh brilliantly came apart at the end of his life.
What can I say? After spending way too much time here I have to go to strong counter-measures to engage with substance. It's a brain spa trip.
Keep on truckin', Marshall.
How pathetic. He actually believes HE'S the one who dealt with dealt with foolishness. Sad.
