Truth Struggles To Survive Where Leftists Dominate

The following is a great analysis of what the left has been doing to truth for a long time:

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/03/a_senate_hearing_and_a_swimming_pool_give_the_truth_its_due.html

This is a tactic we see endorsed by our very own Danny T, though I no longer expect anything akin to reason, logic, intelligence or honesty from the likes of him or his troll.

The quote presented at the end of the piece is especially awesome, as debates on the meaning of words...or more precisely, how the left bastardizes the meanings of words to serve their warped purposes...has been the subject of discourse many times on these here blogs.  Stan has often expounded on the subject.  It seems to me that even if we were to accept that the left believes what they say they believe, they'd find a better way to promote those beliefs than lying about what words mean....or in the case of Ketanji Brown Jackson, whether or not they can be defined at all.

We see it also in the creation of words, such as "homophobia" or "transphobia" as if there is actual psychological fear of the people referenced by those words.  They're bludgeons.  Nothing more or less than that, meant to silence those who object to all that those who enable such people represent for the culture.

We see it in the misapplication of words, like "racist" or "nazi", also used as weapons to force those who object to leftist notions into submission.  Words like "oppression" or "disenfranchise" or "marginalize" are bandied about when policies opposed by the left are proposed or enacted, as we see in response to voter ID laws, laws regarding how and when our kids are taught about sexual issues and laws meant to protect women against unfair competition by men who either suffer from delusion about their sex or simply wish to exploit women by pretending so.  And of course, there's the hateful rhetoric regarding protecting kids from the pressures of the pro-trans activists and parents who stupidly buy into that farce.

It's so stupid to say it, because it's so blatantly obvious:  Truth is important.  But the left isn't concerned with truth, but what they want truth to be.  That's dangerous as hell and hell will likely be the destination of those who intentionally disregard it, and certainly what our nation will become if truth is rejected in favor of leftist principles and agendas.

Righteously Pissed

When I vote, I'm mostly looking for adherence to the Constitution as a basis for determining how an elected official acts with regard to legislation and policy.  Does the elected stay in his lane?  If I believe a candidate performs in this manner, I consider that candidate good for the nation...meaning us.  This doesn't necessarily mean that I will benefit personally, though I believe I do anytime such candidates are elected...provided they aren't later corrupted.  I understand, however, that one with proper intentions can be thwarted in his attempts to bring government more in line with the Constitution, and I don't hold that against him.  My state Congressman, for example, is pretty consistent in performing his duties in this way.  Unfortunately the state is infested with Democrats and the fools who vote for them, making my Congressman's job next to impossible.  But he's one voice speaking the truth, added to the few others who are doing so as well.  As is the case for the electorate, every person moving toward the same goal makes achieving that goal possible.

Now I'm at a point in my life where retirement should be a given.  While Trump was in office, that looked to be certain.

Biden's alleged win in Nov. 2020 changed all that.  And I'm greatly pissed off about it.  And with each passing day, I struggle with how pissed I am toward all who had a hand in it.  All those who rejected Trump have made my life harder after all the years spent seeking to ensure this time of life would be easier.  This isn't a "just part of life" situation, unless being oppressed by the stupid is supposed to be a routine or a guarantee.  None of this had to happen.

One indication of just how these people crapped on my plans is what has happened since the sale two years ago of my home of over 30 years.  We put the money in an account so that it would grow and be a larger fund by the time we moved out of this shithole state of Illinois...the second leading state for outward migration.  All the interest we accumulated from that sale is now gone completely.   This is what the Biden economy has done.

Of course, that's just one example of Sleepy Joe's destructive effect on the economy.  Prices of all things are through the roof.  I should save some dough on gas once we're out of here in another month.  Illinois has the second highest amount of taxes on gas purchases in the country, after California.  People near the border never fill up their cars in Illinois.  Sales tax in general should be lower, but I haven't actually compared in detail.  But even with that, all these things for which we shell out our hard earned spondoolies are more expensive now and have risen at a rate that is almost unprecedented.  Again, I was looking to retire and now I have no idea just how long I'll have to put this off.  I'm thinking I should assume the rest of Biden's term, if the stupid allow him to be re-elected.  One must allow for the stupid, because they stupid will confound every time.  It's what stupid people do.

OH! but Art!  You're so selfish.  You're only thinking of yourself!

I apologize for not thinking of others while I'm bleeding to death.  The fact is, it's obvious to me that if it sucks this badly for me, who has done an above average job of preparing (and by "me", I mean the wife and I...the two of us becoming one by our matrimonial vows), what of those who haven't been earning on my level?  How bad must they be feeling it?  How are they handling gas prices alone, especially those low income earners who live in the areas with the highest density of stupid, like the city of Chicago?  Gas is over five bucks there.  It's only  ("ONLY"????) averaging around 4.50 per gallon in the burbs.  Man, it's gotta be tough for those about whom the Asshat Party pretends to have such compassion!

This is the most immediate effect of rejecting Trump.  And it was easily predicted to be really bad, even if not this bad.  It seems it only gets worse, and I do not feel I do wrong not to recognize my own level of discomfort and distress stupidity has imposed upon me.  I'm not out of bounds to lament, and definitely not out of bounds to be pissed.  It's the same way a father is pissed at his boy who hurts himself doing what he was warned not to do.

The main question is how much worse can it get?  That's a most frightening consideration considering how bad things have gotten since Jan 20, 2021 and how quickly.  One's ass is a terrible place to store one's head.  Pull them out, People!

Addressing A Tangent

Dan, being incapable of arguing against truths presented in the blog posts of others, within the comments section which follow them, and even in the comment threads on his own blog, will inevitably go off on tangents to issues where he believes he has stronger footing.  It's rarely the case, but that's what he does.  So in a post about presenting a fuller, more comprehensive history of slavery and race in America, Dan eventually branched off by bringing up "transgenderism".  Naturally, Dan is a big believer in it and of course those who don't are responsible for all the suffering experienced by those sadly disordered people.

In the "discussion" following the post in question, where he was failing to get traction with his substance-free comments and responses, Dan fancied he'd found a winning strategy by bringing up Texas Governor Greg Abbott's plan to use child abuse laws to fight against adults who put their minor children through "sex reassignment" protocols.  To Dan, Abbott's concern for the welfare of minors is an assault on "innocent" "trans" people which will lead to many deaths.  Dan provided no evidence of this wild claim...that there's a direct connection between opposing the notion that one is normal if one believes one's "gender" is something other than what their biological sex dictates and subsequent psychotic behavior by "trans" people.  That is, there's nothing at all wrong with the mind of such people.  It's their bodies which are the problem and to deny this unproven "fact" drives people to physically assault "trans" people and drives "trans" people to kill themselves.

In any case, Dan was livid that anyone would regard this condition as mental illness, disorder and without scientific basis (all of which is true), and as is his want, he demanded proofs and evidence as if that's what he does to support claims of his own.

Well, that wasn't the place for such things as that post had nothing to do with sexual perversions and disorders.  So, as luck would have it, Wintery Knight provided a post of his own which addresses that which I believe provoked Abbott's proposed legislation:

https://winteryknight.com/2022/03/06/far-left-students-shout-down-father-who-lost-his-child-to-transgenderism/

This post presents stories of the very people I believe Abbott had in mind, and WK has provided such solid and factual cases which bear out all that honorable, honest people have said about this issue, and specifically abut Abbott's bill.  The "adults" in these stories who are guilty of child abuse are supported by other morally bankrupt adults, such as judges, lawyers and spokespeople for groups advocating for sexual perversion as normal.  In the highlighted story, the "mother" is not even enabling the boy, but pushing him toward that which the boy apparently has no interest.  This is a worst case scenario of such abuse.  But even were the boy...who is only 6 years old...was an example of what the "transsexualism" "experts" qualify as an actual "transsexual", it ignores the FACT that kids are not possessed of reason at 6 years old which would support any claim to be of the opposite sex as something a rational, responsible and MORAL adult should respect as fact.

In most, if not all, United States of America, one is not a legal adult until one has lived a full 18 years.  For "progressives", one can go twice that long before being an actual adult in terms of common sense and morality.  Some never mature at all, except physically.  But as in legal terms 18 is the point at which one is considered an adult, it makes perfect sense to deny anyone younger to wait until that point before any sex "reassignment" is allowed for them.  If one truly cares about such kids, this is a most minimum level of proving that.  Any therapy provided should focus on helping kids cope with the feelings they have which compel them to believe they're not what their biology says they are, as well as helping parents cope, too.

"Progressives"...who are morons...find this to be government interference in the same way they find restricting the murder of kids in the womb to be restrictive.  Yet both are simply the most compassionate policies which focus on the parties most deserving of it...the kids.  I don't give a flying rat's ass what some leftist asshole parent feels about either of these two issues.  It's not about them despite their completely selfish motivations.  "Progressives" are masturbatory.  It's all about feeling good to them.  It's all about how they feel.  It's all about how they "feel".  It's not about the kids, which is just something they say to drum up support for that which is really all about them.

To that end, they promote the false claim asserting science backs their beliefs.  Yet they provide nothing which really bears that out.  Dan provided an example of what constitutes "evidence" in the aforementioned conversation two posts ago which wasn't evidence at all, while demanding evidence for the moral side of the debate as if evidence has never been provided in previous discussions.  (To Dan, each new discussion means he can pretend the issue on the table has never been discussed before, and he can make all the assertions which have already been roundly debunked.  This would make sense if his opponents weren't those who debunked those assertions in the first place.)

Abbott's proposal is wise, compassionate and demonstrates a level of concern for kids the "progressive" can never understand given their wanton self-centered nature.   They're willing to sacrifice the best interests of minors for the sake of their vile, perverse and masturbatory agenda.  Dan is totally down with that.  Dan is contemptible.

ADDENDUM:

While the links in WK's post are old (from 2018 and 2016), I wonder if any who support the LGBT agenda can provide more recent studies which contradict the evidence presented involving suicide rates of "trans" and homosexual teens (I think the older study addresses homosexuals in general).  In the meantime, I will be on the lookout for studies from a more recent period to see if the percentages have changed or remain the same.

Important Details, continued

 https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/02/a_decade_of_deceit_and_division_what_trayvon_wrought.html

The above is a link to an article at AmericanThinker.  It provides some more recent details that aren't revealed during this special month, details which stand as reasons for a great deal of death and destruction which has plagued our nation over the last decade.  It also provides examples of that which leads some of the wiser Americans to justly regard the leftist mainstream media as enemies of the state.

Once again, I have no problem with discussions about revising how and what is taught to our kids with regard to the history of this country.  Sadly, too many are intent on focusing only on the bad, particularly with regard to race-relations, and it's killing the nation all by itself (not that there aren't other leftist actions constantly perpetrated which do as well).

UPDATE:  MORE INFO

Important Details Left Out Of The 1619 Project

Like Morgan Freeman, I never favored a "Black History Month".  (I totally oppose the Perv Pride Month every June, but that's another issue altogether).  American History is all we need, and frankly, it makes no sense to national unity to divide, does it?  And that's the effect of any month that honors one segment of society.

Now, I have no problem with the notion of reviewing how we teach American history.  History is expanding all the time.  Events of importance can be supplanted by more recent events whose impact on America are greater than those supplanted events of importance.  The same is true of people, as the impact an individual or group has on the direction of our culture can be of greater benefit to the nation than the work of some previously regarded as great.  There's a degree of subjectivity in determining any of it, and again, it's a worthy debate to decide which is essential in teaching our kids about this nation.  I'd say the same is true of world history, but I'm beginning to stray from what I intended to say.

We're constantly inundated with reminders of just how evil America has been when the subject of race relations comes up.  Few would disagree with the fact that how black people have been treated throughout American history has been less than honorable, less than equal, less than Christian.  But unfortunately, this usually comes with the charge that such treatment of one race against another is one-sided or unique to the white race.  There is no shortage of examples throughout human history which prove this is untrue.  Just as unfortunately is how those examples are ignored in order to focus on the behavior of a single race, which is then exploited by the unsavory, resulting in the scabs being constantly picked and the wounds never fully healing...the division never fully narrowing.  While doing so, certain aspects of Black History in America is ignored.  Whether this is intentional or not I won't attempt to discern at this time (if ever).

 https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/02/black_history_month_is_appropriate_time_for_the_truth.html

The link above is to an AmericanThinker article I found fascinating and illuminating.  More so the links with in it, particularly the second one.  It's rather lengthy, but it references sources which one who cares can search out to confirm what it contains.  And what it contains are aspects of Black History I don't believe those who promote the concept care to know or reveal if they did.

My point in highlighting this information is not necessarily a "what about" ploy.  But upon reading the article I am wondering if those who continue to lambast the white race are willing to put alongside white atrocities the atrocities of their own.  We hear all the time...ad nauseum... of how badly whites behaved throughout history.  The crimes of the white man against non-whites are well known, to say the least.  Indeed, they can't shut up about it.  The fragile, self-loathing white-guilted can't stop begging forgiveness stupidly insisting all whites are responsible somehow and obliged to make good for the misdeeds of people long dead.

So if all that is true, then it seems quite reasonable, just...indeed "equitable"...to expect those descended from the non-whites described in the article and its links (as well as those who look like them regardless of whether or not their families were around during that time...mine having come to this country only two generations before me) to acknowledge their role in the suffering of those who are the only people who have any right to suggest they're the progeny of the oppressed.

One can easily see how this complicates the whole notion of "reparations".  What should be seen is that the widespread dissemination of this unspoken history has greater potential to dissipate the racial divide, as it demonstrates how race has no real effect on man's inhumanity to man and to constantly harp on racial differences is to constantly focus on that which is irrelevant, insignificant and only useful for keeping the flame of hate burning.

VERY IMPORTANT ADDENDUM:

The following link showed up in an AmericanThinker article today.  It's from 2019 right after the destructive 1619 Project came out.  It's a good analysis of the stupidity of the whole thing, as well as of those who find it compelling...the progressives.  Reading through it, one will find familiar BS which one particular progressive...a "proggie" as the author labels them...perpetuates routinely on the blogs:

The Lawyers Had To Be Salivating

 https://www.theblaze.com/news/remington-settles-with-sandy-hook-parents?utm_source=theblaze-7DayTrendingTest&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=The%20Blaze%20PM%20Trending%202022-02-15&utm_term=ACTIVE%20LIST%20-%207%20Day%20Engagement

The above link is to a Blaze article reporting on the 73 million dollar settlement Remington Arms paid to nine families of Sandy Hook murder victims, their lives taken...not by Remington...by Adam Lanza back on Dec. 14, 2012.  He murdered a total of 26 people that day at the school, and his mother, who legally owned the weapons he took with him to do the deed.

I find the settlement to be incredibly problematic, especially since a lawyer for the families now proudly asserts this settlement can lead to more easily putting the arm on other firearms manufacturers should anyone abuse their products.  And this is what makes this settlement so wrong.  Remington had nothing to do with the murders of those people.  Not one thing.  They had no contact with Lanza.  They did not conspire with him in any way to murder anyone.  In fact, they did not sell the weapon to Lanza.  They didn't even sell it to his mother, so far as I've been able to ascertain, who owned all the weapons the bastard used that day.  And according to an article from the New York Times which appeared three days after the murders, it seems she bought the weapons for herself, a gun enthusiast in a community of gun enthusiasts, with nothing stating she intended them for Adam, who was mental.

The suit against Remington on behalf of the families suggested they marketed their products in a manner which somehow provokes consumers to arm up and shoot up schools or some shit.  And of course, they refer to the rifle as a "weapon of war", despite the fact that actual "weapons of war"...otherwise known as the guns the military uses, are fully automatic, while the civilian version is semi-automatic, as are so many not referred to as "weapons of war" or the perennial favorite, "assault weapon".  (One's fists are assault weapons)

In any case, that anyone would dare stick their hands in Remington's pockets over this mass murder is about the most unjust attack on a company's rights as any one could imagine.  As noted above, the company had absolutely no involvement whatsoever.  They are innocent of any charge against them in connection with the murders.  That being painfully, blatantly and absolutely obvious, on what basis could they have lost a lawsuit other than due to money-hungry, gun-grabbing lawyers and judges not acting like honest Americans?  Adam Lanza stole the guns from his murdered mother.  How is that Remington's fault?

In various comments sections after articles about this travesty of justice, some mention suing auto manufacturers every time an accident involving one of their products occurs.   But that's not an apples to apples analogy.  This is...

On August 17th, 2017, James Alex Fields, Jr. drove his car into a crowd of people murdering one person and injuring 35.  Heather Danielle Heyer died.  The weapon used was Fields' 2010 Dodge Challenger.  Chrysler Motors is just as responsible for the death of Heather Heyer as Remington is for the 27 murdered by Adam Lanza.

On Nov. 21, 2021, Darrell E. Brooks drove his 2010 Ford Escape into the Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing five people and wounding 48 others.   Ford Motor Co. is just as responsible for those deaths as Remington Arms is for Sandy Hook.

As I mentioned, the lawyers who squeezed Remington believes their success will lead to other pots of gold for them.  I hope the next victim of these pigs refuses to give in and forces the judge to rule.  If they should lose, I hope they appeal.  If they lose the appeal, I hope they take it to the Supremes.  There's no way these types of cases should even be heard in an American court of law.  I feel for the victims' families.  This is not the way to go.

More Child Abuse

 http://jsmmds.blogspot.com/2022/02/slippery-slope.html

The above link is to a post at Craig's blog, wherein he refers to further evidence of the "de-stigmatizing" of pedophilia, which like with the cases of "de-stigmatizing" of homosexuality and "transgenderism", is more likely to result in more widespread acceptance of the practice.  Dan, being a defender of deviancy, immediately jumped in to argue the point (actually arguing that which was only mildly related to the point...because he's Dan) and use the post as an excuse to presume right-wingers are more likely to be child molesters than lefties.  But even the title of the post suggests the point was referencing the so-called "slippery slope" argument and how the current climate regarding pedophilia validates the argument quite well.

And far more relative to the point than who is engaging in such vile behavior are those who promote or enable it by their pseudo-psychological, quasi-philosophical discussions about "de-stigmatizing" the urges which lead to bad behaviors.  I get that having a desire for some non-traditional, unChristian, immoral form of sexual gratification doesn't guarantee indulging in the desire.  But the desire is still as vile, immoral and unChristian nonetheless and "stigma" doesn't enter into it.  That is, except that it is deserving of the stigma.  It should be vilified for the contemptible sin it is.

The sin of child abuse is among the worst sins, even according to Christ Himself.  And to pretend there is any other group than leftists (and those who wish to simply say they are "socially liberal" are no different) who have pushed all manner of behavior which have harmed or will harm our children is a lie.  What follows is a report from AmericanThinker.com which illustrates another way in which lefties are harming our children (and jeez, there are so many ways!):

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/02/tony_school_in_dc_forces_5_yearolds_to_parade_around_chanting_black_lives_matter_for_the_cameras.html

This is pure indoctrination.  The lefty teachers pretend their promoting goodness...that differences are normal and not a reason to hate.  They do this with the bullshit claim of promoting diversity, identity and inclusion, which lefty-speak for "what we consider worthy of including".

The particular chant these kids are forced to repeat over and over is especially egregious for a couple of reasons.  It is NOT promoting diversity, but promoting the lies that the BLM movement promote regarding race relations.  It is NOT promoting inclusivity because it necessarily EXcludes those who are not black.  If the chant was "ALL LIVES MATTER", they could make their claim as that is undeniably inclusive...not to mention absolutely true.   But would this school have these little ones chant, "FETAL LIVES MATTER"?  I doubt it.  Why aren't they promoting respect for the police with their chanting and marching?  BLM does not provide for that respect at all.

The left exploits kids and to argue they aren't the only who do is irrelevant.  To argue they aren't the worst perpetrators of child exploitation is a straight up lie given how often we hear them (particularly Nancy Pelosi) expect us to believe "it's for the children" every time they struggle to get some bill passed.  A proper understanding of the the Constitution and the Bill of Rights is that it promotes the individual.  But not the self-centered understanding of the leftist (assuming they give a flying rat's ass about the Constitution in the first place).

This post focuses on one specific example of leftist child exploitation.  It isn't the only example.
