Prayer Request

I just want to suggest we pray for all those who are being forced to choose between their jobs and an injection of a drug for which long term consequences are totally unknown.  For that matter, short term adverse effects are known and thus being forced to take that risk seems criminally unconstitutional.  We're seeing people from low level government workers to high paid NFL quarterbacks being forced to make this choice.  It's wrong in any case.  These drugs are questionable and the chance of severe illness...and especially the chance of death...are incredibly low.  One has a far higher chance of being murdered by a criminal let out of jail than dying from Covid-19.

This is what comes from voting Democrat.

Breaking...uh...STUFF!!!

 I just came across this:

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/07/why_historians_making_lists_of_the_best_presidents_get_it_so_wrong_.html

This article aligns with my opinions regarding the judging of presidents in the various surveys and polls of "historians" and "political scientists" which result in erotic arousal in certain Louisville "progressive" "Christians" who have a seething, grace-embracing hatred for Donald J. Trump.  I know I'm being a bit coy here, but I'm not going to name this person.  I'm only going to say that the article gives a good understanding of why the polls are crap as well as what a better judgement would not only look like, but why it takes time for any legitimate, honest historian not as grace embracing as Dan....oops!...to assess just what any given president's legacy truly is, and thus where among the others he might legitimately be ranked.

It's easy to hate...which I understand is akin to murder, spiritually speaking.  But to deal with any political figure objectively requires one understand where the good and bad points stack against each other...which of either has any real impact with regard the rest of us.  More than that, it must demand truth and the ability to dismiss that which has been found to be untrue so that it does not affect judgement in where the figure belongs amongst his peers.

The article speaks to the president's duties as laid out in the Constitution.  There's no poll of any value of any kind that doesn't base it's rankings on how each president has adhered to those Constitutional duties.  Indeed, each line describing those duties should be the criteria by which they are judged, not the ambiguous crap I've seen in what are now three such surveys recently presented to me by the unnamed Kentuckian above.  But they all had Trump ranked last, so that was enough for Dan...oops, again!

There is a specific ranking I demand in any such poll in order to give it the time of day.  William Henry Harrison, our 9th president, must always be ranked last with an asterisk to which attached must be, "He doesn't really count because he died on this 32nd day".  Now, I haven't checked to see what, if anything, he accomplished in that short time, but I can't imagine it could've been all that much which would have lifted above anyone else who wasn't a total criminal despot.

Something Until The Real Post Is Ready

"[And I have to tell you that I am loathe to keep citing this miscreant, but he pretty perfectly sums up what has become of conservatism. Truth and facts don't matter. Attacks are good, repeated attacks are better... you repeat the attacks and the lies and name-calling enough times and some people will start believing the disinformation. At least, the useful idiots will. (Trump has gone on record as saying this deviant "positive thinking" strategy is part of what he embraces.) Just to be clear, Trump is not the cause of this cancer on modern conservatism - conservatives have brought it on themselves. But he is the epitome and poster boy for what has become of modern conservatism. /end rant.]"

The above was lifted from a post to which I will be responding later.  But this bit was especially galling in my opinion, both because of the author being crazed in his hatred as well as for the hypocrisy and falseness.  It's what "embracing grace" apparently looks like.  Let's review:

"And I have to tell you that I am loathe to keep citing this miscreant, but he pretty perfectly sums up what has become of conservatism."

This is from someone who continually proves a decided lack of understanding of what conservatism is.  I wouldn't dare suggest that the GOP hasn't lots of problems.  They do.  Part of which is the truest conservatives within the party are few in number.  Regardless, Trump's policies demonstrated more conservatism than anyone who paid attention expected to get from him.  Yet he isn't the face of conservatism.  He's just one person who may still be far less conservative politically than his policies would suggest.  In short, support for the guy is based on those policies he implemented, promoted and hoped to see enacted...not on his personality necessarily.

In any case, to refer to him as a "miscreant" is rather rich coming from a "progressive" who supports the Democratic Party.

"Truth and facts don't matter. Attacks are good, repeated attacks are better... you repeat the attacks and the lies and name-calling enough times and some people will start believing the disinformation. At least, the useful idiots will."

This is Olympic Gold Medal level projection.  Trump exaggerates.  He deals in marketing level hyperbole so common among business people.  Lefties are abject and inveterate liars.  Whether it's politics or religion, the lefty has very little regard for truth, and their attacks on their ideological opponents...their betters, more often than not...is legendary.  A current example is the common reference to some who aren't Fauci sheep as "anti-vaxxers".  Aside from the lie that what is being pushed through the syringes into the arms of the people is a vaccine, those who are "hesitant" are so because of the data, most of which one has to pulled like a bad tooth from the "experts" who lack the honesty to allow the use of alternatives like Ivermectin or the reports of the successes hundreds of doctors have experienced with its use.

Yet the name calling so common among the lefties, including the Louisville Slug who makes the charge, is distinct in it's lack of justification, as the "anti-vaxxer" example clearly illustrates.  (Yeah.  I know.  I just engaged in name calling.  Sue me.)  What names are hurled in the port side direction are easily justified with clearly seen examples.  I won't say name-calling is particularly "Christian", but there's a time and a place for everything and calling a liar a liar is at least truthful.

As to "useful idiots", that would imply one from the conservative side is incapable of rationally, intelligently and truthfully defending why one aligns one's self with the conservative side in the first place.  I'm not talking platitudes here.  I'm referring to solid fact and logic.   While not every conservative is a genius, a scholar, even necessarily bright and articulate, even the "best" among the lefties can't persuade any of them to their dark side.

"Just to be clear, Trump is not the cause of this cancer on modern conservatism - conservatives have brought it on themselves."

There is no greater cancer on the American experiment than the leftist ideology promoted and enabled by the Kentucky Wild Turkey who asserts the above.   They've brought that cancer upon the entire nation and believe themselves to be have done us a solid.  That's just how stupid they are.

And truly, we didn't even bring Trump upon ourselves or the nation.  The left did (as did weak Republicans) by celebrating the incompetent and disastrous Barack Obama and by promoting the likes of Hillary Clinton.  Oh, yeah.  They promote the socialism of Bernie Sanders, too.  While I believed we had a couple of options that would have done well, I don't know if any of them would have fared as well as did Trump, especially in light of the lies and attacks perpetrated against him from the very moment he threw his hat in the ring.  They repeated those attacks and lies and continue to do so still.  And they do so while ignoring the pathetic Joe Biden they elevated to the lofty position of Leader of the Free World, where we've become less and less free since they first began lying about Covid-19.

Talk about a useful idiot!

Enemy Action IV

I'll just post this link for now, and maybe comment more later:

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/05/understanding_the_medias_role_in_the_rebekah_jones_grift.html

One question:  Why didn't the leftist enemy of the people find this info when it was "news", rather than simply run with it like the enemies of the people they are?  They are, after all, supposed to be news organizations, right?  Journalists?  According to one journalism student from Kentucky who isn't very bright, just reporting whatever they're told is their job.  It's not to dig deeper to find out what's really true.  Too bad how it affects consumers of news.

Trump is still right about the leftist media.

UPDATE:

Yes, Trump was right, and here's one of the few remaining actual journalists who are still Allies of the People who would agree:

About an hour long, but worth the time spent.

My Easter Post (Yeah, Yeah...I Know...)

Life being distracting, and with so many goofy leftists to correct on the internet, I never got around to doing an Easter post, particularly after noting once again how none of Dan's Easter posts are about Easter.  He challenged me to do one, so here it is.  Finally.

Aside from merely wishing everyone a Happy Easter, or merely posting "He Is Risen!" as I've done in the past, this is about the significance of Easter.  My observations regarding Dan's Easter posts have been, as I stated above, they don't say anything about what makes Easter a special day in the Christian calendar.  That is, what's the big deal?

Easter can be said to be actually three days long, from the crucifixion remembered on Friday, to the resurrection on Sunday.  It's kind of a package deal.  But Sunday is the day referred to as "Easter", and the resurrection that occurred on the day we call "Easter" has its own significance in the faith.  Jesus rising from the dead assures us of the salvation He guaranteed by His death on the cross.  He conquered death by rising from it, but more importantly for us, He conquered it for us, as we, too, shall one day be resurrected.  Because He did, we have that Blessed Assurance we will, too.

Matthew records several times when Jesus prophesied about His resurrection.  So actually doing it was important, to say the least.  This impossible thing not only happened, but Jesus told His disciples it was going to happen!  How cool is that??  No doubt they felt stupid later when they were reminded of it after the fact by the angel at the empty tomb.

But Paul spells out the significance of this most incredible miracle:

And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.  -1 Cor 15:17

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.  For since death came through a man, the resurrections of the dead comes also through a man.  For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.  But each in his own turn:  Christ, the first fruits; then when He comes, those who belong to Him.  -1 Cor 15:20-23

Paul then goes on into more detail, also describing how we'll be raised in "the splendor of heavenly bodies", imperishable, glorious and powerful.

That seems to me rather significant.  Far more so than any lefty notions about Christ being a revolutionary stickin' it to the man.

Enemy Action III

This is a short post, the purpose of which is to point out the lack of reports of police "brutality" against white people.  We know the stats prove there are more white people killed by cops, the argument only being one of proportion with regard to percentage of population.  But regardless of that lame angle played by the lying left...in this case the media, not just people like Dan...one would think that for the sake of objectivity and to prove one's news organization is balanced in their reporting, we'd see something regarding incidents where white suspects or detainees are shot by cops.

But no.  We only see story after story of black people being "victimized" by cops as if it never ever happens to anyone else.  That's intentional.  That's the media pushing the leftist, race-hustling narrative.

Of course we're never treated to violent protests of any kind by the families and friends of all those many more whites killed by cops.  Grace-embracers might argue it's because whites haven't been oppressed for 250 years in this country...as if that freakin' matters in any case with which we've been inundated in the past five years or more.  If one is truly concerned about out of control law enforcement, what difference would that make anyhow and why only provide examples of black people victimized by it?

The answer is clear and obvious.  It's because the left and their media shills aren't at all concerned about ANY victims of police misconduct.  They're only concerned with appeasing the radical marxists behind the "racist cop" narrative and the ultimate goal of taking money from those who have it and giving it to those who aren't interested in engaging in wealth building activity and the effort it takes to be successful...after taking their cut, of course.

So it's a lie of omission as well as a lie of misdirection every time you see another story of cops killing black suspects, while never seeing any involving white suspects.  This distortion of reality results in a distortion of perception by the general public, particularly those who don't or won't take the time to look beyond the headlines.  The leftist media counts on these sheep.  It's intentional and more proof that the leftist media is indeed the enemy of the people.
