If men were angels, there'd be no need for government or rules. Unfortunately, too many men are assholes.
Because of a person or persons commenting here as if they were Dan Trabue (and really...who the f**k would want to be him?), I'm forced to enact another rule:
All commenting must be done by honest people willing to identify themselves in a manner which convinces me they are who they say they are.
I know there are those who for reasons of a personal nature fear identifying themselves. For example, their jobs might be at risk if their employers or co-workers knew of their political/religious positions. Frank Turec, our own Wintery Knight, are examples.
Others are just insipid cowards, like feo and those who post under the name of another. There are also those who won't open up a Blogger account simply to provide some legit means of identifying or contacting them to verify who they are. They're trolls. No one likes trolls.
As always I reserve the right to allow anyone I choose to allow and discontinue posting comments from those who've proven themselves feo-like. This recent counterfeit at least comments in an acceptable tone, and that might persuade me to allow such commenting. But I won't allow the appropriation of another person's name. Don't do it.

And now I'm getting some dude calling himself "Eddy" who also provides no way to confirm who he says he is. I don't understand this cowardice. It's just a blog...people trying to have a discussion. It seems men are in short supply these days.
You attract all sorts of the finest commenters on the internet.
It's like a superpower.
Should we get you a cape and call you Troll Man?
We could edit the Sam and Dave classic to "I'm the Troll Man...".
I could take it better if I was attracting the trolls so that no one else has to suffer such fools. But, feo's intent on trolling everyone.
Feo is an ass. He won't stop harassing me or my wife. Harassing a woman proves what a cowardly bully he is. I told him we don't read his asinine comments, that they are deleted as soon as we see his name, but he doesn't care. It's a pain to have to keep deleting someone who continues to prove he is an unbeliever by his behavior.
Glenn,
feo is Hamas and the Gazans. He attacks, assaults, insults, condescends with unjustified arrogance and pride and then whines when his behavior brings about a just and necessary response. And like Hamas, he will continue his behavior because he's a reprobate who can do no better. Blogger has no means by which we can totally annihilate him...that is, prevent him from even an attempt to submit a comment being attempted, and thus all we can do is delete him. It doesn't seem Blogger truly allows a host to designate a visitor as spam to an extent that future attempts will go directly to a spam folder. At least I can't seem to make mine blog work that way. So I just delete him.
Now and then, however, it's difficult not see what he's trying to say, and the stupidity of it is entertaining, sometimes to the point of allowing it just to expose that stupidity. Mostly I restrain myself, because his presence is an insult to all other visitors, regardless if all other visitors are allied with or opposed to me.
Why are you doing this to me, Marshal? What is it that I have done wrong? Why all this abusive rhetoric against me? I am your brother in the Lord, and the Lord judges abuse against fellow brothers in the Lord. I just wanted to talk.
I allowed the above comment by "Feodor" because I don't believe it's actually feo. The real feo knows exactly why I deny his comments as I've explained it exhaustively since I first began doing so. I believe the person who actually posted this comment is again appropriating a name not his own because like Dan and feo, he's a coward and a liar.
I agree that it doesn't sound like the troll, to much whining and self pity for someone who's usually so condescending.
One thing I always liked about WordPress is the comment moderation. You could let some people comment freely, others with comment-by-comment approval, and completely block others (e.g., Feo, Dan, etc.). You would only see their comments if you went to the spam/trash bin, which I never do (and I assume they eventually give up and quit commenting when they realize no one reads them, even to delete them). I'm surprised Blogger doesn't have such a feature.
Neil,
I can't believe that Blogger hasn't added that at some point. I just don't know if I want to change platforms at this point.
I actually did create a WordPress presence, but haven't done anything with it except to import posts and comments existing at that point. I couldn't find how to block individuals without denying instant publication of comments from the rest, which is what I really want. I want the days when an actual conversation could ensue in more like real time, as can be done with a texting conversation. The blogs used to be that way. Mine used to be that way until Dan's sock puppet abused his welcome and chose world-class assholery.
I may revisit that WP version or start anew with another if I can't figure out how to find it. It's been so long, I'm not sure I'll be able to do so.
But for now, I'll just make a decision case by case. In feo's case, that decision is made and like the Gazastinians and West Bankers, he'll need years of gracious, truly Christian behavior in order to have that decision rescinded.
Thank maga for Dobbs. I wake up every day and thank God I am an American and not a stupid maga
The alleged "Time Scott Hendrickson",
I've no doubt you have less idea what you mean than I do. Do you know what "MAGA" means? If you do, it belies your claim to be an American.
YES, I thank "MAGA" for Dobbs, which revoked the Unconstitutional Roe, thereby save the lives of many unborn,
I thank God for Dobbs which might lead to saving the lives of many unborn.
