Truth Struggles To Survive Where Leftists Dominate

This is a tactic we see endorsed by our very own Danny T, though I no longer expect anything akin to reason, logic, intelligence or honesty from the likes of him or his troll.  

The quote presented at the end of the piece is especially awesome, as debates on the meaning of words...or more precisely, how the left bastardizes the meanings of words to serve their warped purposes...has been the subject of discourse many times on these here blogs.  Stan has often expounded on the subject.  It seems to me that even if we were to accept that the left believes what they say they believe, they'd find a better way to promote those beliefs than lying about what words mean....or in the case of Ketanji Brown Jackson, whether or not they can be defined at all. 

We see it also in the creation of words, such as "homophobia" or "transphobia" as if there is actual psychological fear of the people referenced by those words.  They're bludgeons.  Nothing more or less than that, meant to silence those who object to all that those who enable such people represent for the culture.

We see it in the misapplication of words, like "racist" or "nazi", also used as weapons to force those who object to leftist notions into submission.  Words like "oppression" or "disenfranchise" or "marginalize" are bandied about when policies opposed by the left are proposed or enacted, as we see in response to voter ID laws, laws regarding how and when our kids are taught about sexual issues and laws meant to protect women against unfair competition by men who either suffer from delusion about their sex or simply wish to exploit women by pretending so.  And of course, there's the hateful rhetoric regarding protecting kids from the pressures of the pro-trans activists and parents who stupidly buy into that farce.

It's so stupid to say it, because it's so blatantly obvious:  Truth is important.  But the left isn't concerned with truth, but what they want truth to be.  That's dangerous as hell and hell will likely be the destination of those who intentionally disregard it, and certainly what our nation will become if truth is rejected in favor of leftist principles and agendas.

Righteously Pissed

 When I vote, I'm mostly looking for adherence to the Constitution as a basis for determining how an elected official acts with regard to legislation and policy.  Does the elected stay in his lane?  If I believe a candidate performs in this manner, I consider that candidate good for the nation...meaning us.  This doesn't necessarily mean that I will benefit personally, though I believe I do anytime such candidates are elected...provided they aren't later corrupted.  I understand, however, that one with proper intentions can be thwarted in his attempts to bring government more in line with the Constitution, and I don't hold that against him.  My state Congressman, for example, is pretty consistent in performing his duties in this way.  Unfortunately the state is infested with Democrats and the fools who vote for them, making my Congressman's job next to impossible.  But he's one voice speaking the truth, added to the few others who are doing so as well.  As is the case for the electorate, every person moving toward the same goal makes achieving that goal possible. 

Now I'm at a point in my life where retirement should be a given.  While Trump was in office, that looked to be certain.  

 Biden's alleged win in Nov. 2020 changed all that.  And I'm greatly pissed off about it.  And with each passing day, I struggle with how pissed I am toward all who had a hand in it.  All those who rejected Trump have made my life harder after all the years spent seeking to ensure this time of life would be easier.  This isn't a "just part of life" situation, unless being oppressed by the stupid is supposed to be a routine or a guarantee.  None of this had to happen. 

One indication of just how these people crapped on my plans is what has happened since the sale two years ago of my home of over 30 years.  We put the money in an account so that it would grow and be a larger fund by the time we moved out of this shithole state of Illinois...the second leading state for outward migration.  All the interest we accumulated from that sale is now gone completely.   This is what the Biden economy has done.  

Of course, that's just one example of Sleepy Joe's destructive effect on the economy.  Prices of all things are through the roof.  I should save some dough on gas once we're out of here in another month.  Illinois has the second highest amount of taxes on gas purchases in the country, after California.  People near the border never fill up their cars in Illinois.  Sales tax in general should be lower, but I haven't actually compared in detail.  But even with that, all these things for which we shell out our hard earned spondoolies are more expensive now and have risen at a rate that is almost unprecedented.  Again, I was looking to retire and now I have no idea just how long I'll have to put this off.  I'm thinking I should assume the rest of Biden's term, if the stupid allow him to be re-elected.  One must allow for the stupid, because they stupid will confound every time.  It's what stupid people do. 

OH! but Art!  You're so selfish.  You're only thinking of yourself! 

I apologize for not thinking of others while I'm bleeding to death.  The fact is, it's obvious to me that if it sucks this badly for me, who has done an above average job of preparing (and by "me", I mean the wife and I...the two of us becoming one by our matrimonial vows), what of those who haven't been earning on my level?  How bad must they be feeling it?  How are they handling gas prices alone, especially those low income earners who live in the areas with the highest density of stupid, like the city of Chicago?  Gas is over five bucks there.  It's only  ("ONLY"????) averaging around 4.50 per gallon in the burbs.  Man, it's gotta be tough for those about whom the Asshat Party pretends to have such compassion!

This is the most immediate effect of rejecting Trump.  And it was easily predicted to be really bad, even if not this bad.  It seems it only gets worse, and I do not feel I do wrong not to recognize my own level of discomfort and distress stupidity has imposed upon me.  I'm not out of bounds to lament, and definitely not out of bounds to be pissed.  It's the same way a father is pissed at his boy who hurts himself doing what he was warned not to do. 

The main question is how much worse can it get?  That's a most frightening consideration considering how bad things have gotten since Jan 20, 2021 and how quickly.  One's ass is a terrible place to store one's head.  Pull them out, People! 

Addressing A Tangent

Dan, being incapable of arguing against truths presented in the blog posts of others, within the comments section which follow them, and even in the comment threads on his own blog, will inevitably go off on tangents to issues where he believes he has stronger footing.  It's rarely the case, but that's what he does.  So in a post about presenting a fuller, more comprehensive history of slavery and race in America, Dan eventually branched off by bringing up "transgenderism".  Naturally, Dan is a big believer in it and of course those who don't are responsible for all the suffering experienced by those sadly disordered people. 

In the "discussion" following the post in question, where he was failing to get traction with his substance-free comments and responses, Dan fancied he'd found a winning strategy by bringing up Texas Governor Greg Abbott's plan to use child abuse laws to fight against adults who put their minor children through "sex reassignment" protocols.  To Dan, Abbott's concern for the welfare of minors is an assault on "innocent" "trans" people which will lead to many deaths.  Dan provided no evidence of this wild claim...that there's a direct connection between opposing the notion that one is normal if one believes one's "gender" is something other than what their biological sex dictates and subsequent psychotic behavior by "trans" people.  That is, there's nothing at all wrong with the mind of such people.  It's their bodies which are the problem and to deny this unproven "fact" drives people to physically assault "trans" people and drives "trans" people to kill themselves.  

In any case, Dan was livid that anyone would regard this condition as mental illness, disorder and without scientific basis (all of which is true), and as is his want, he demanded proofs and evidence as if that's what he does to support claims of his own.  

Well, that wasn't the place for such things as that post had nothing to do with sexual perversions and disorders.  So, as luck would have it, Wintery Knight provided a post of his own which addresses that which I believe provoked Abbott's proposed legislation:

This post presents stories of the very people I believe Abbott had in mind, and WK has provided such solid and factual cases which bear out all that honorable, honest people have said about this issue, and specifically abut Abbott's bill.  The "adults" in these stories who are guilty of child abuse are supported by other morally bankrupt adults, such as judges, lawyers and spokespeople for groups advocating for sexual perversion as normal.  In the highlighted story, the "mother" is not even enabling the boy, but pushing him toward that which the boy apparently has no interest.  This is a worst case scenario of such abuse.  But even were the boy...who is only 6 years old...was an example of what the "transsexualism" "experts" qualify as an actual "transsexual", it ignores the FACT that kids are not possessed of reason at 6 years old which would support any claim to be of the opposite sex as something a rational, responsible and MORAL adult should respect as fact.  

In most, if not all, United States of America, one is not a legal adult until one has lived a full 18 years.  For "progressives", one can go twice that long before being an actual adult in terms of common sense and morality.  Some never mature at all, except physically.  But as in legal terms 18 is the point at which one is considered an adult, it makes perfect sense to deny anyone younger to wait until that point before any sex "reassignment" is allowed for them.  If one truly cares about such kids, this is a most minimum level of proving that.  Any therapy provided should focus on helping kids cope with the feelings they have which compel them to believe they're not what their biology says they are, as well as helping parents cope, too.  

 "Progressives"...who are morons...find this to be government interference in the same way they find restricting the murder of kids in the womb to be restrictive.  Yet both are simply the most compassionate policies which focus on the parties most deserving of it...the kids.  I don't give a flying rat's ass what some leftist asshole parent feels about either of these two issues.  It's not about them despite their completely selfish motivations.  "Progressives" are masturbatory.  It's all about feeling good to them.  It's all about how they feel.  It's all about how they "feel".  It's not about the kids, which is just something they say to drum up support for that which is really all about them. 

To that end, they promote the false claim asserting science backs their beliefs.  Yet they provide nothing which really bears that out.  Dan provided an example of what constitutes "evidence" in the aforementioned conversation two posts ago which wasn't evidence at all, while demanding evidence for the moral side of the debate as if evidence has never been provided in previous discussions.  (To Dan, each new discussion means he can pretend the issue on the table has never been discussed before, and he can make all the assertions which have already been roundly debunked.  This would make sense if his opponents weren't those who debunked those assertions in the first place.)

Abbott's proposal is wise, compassionate and demonstrates a level of concern for kids the "progressive" can never understand given their wanton self-centered nature.   They're willing to sacrifice the best interests of minors for the sake of their vile, perverse and masturbatory agenda.  Dan is totally down with that.  Dan is contemptible.

ADDENDUM: 

While the links in WK's post are old (from 2018 and 2016), I wonder if any who support the LGBT agenda can provide more recent studies which contradict the evidence presented involving suicide rates of "trans" and homosexual teens (I think the older study addresses homosexuals in general).  In the meantime, I will be on the lookout for studies from a more recent period to see if the percentages have changed or remain the same.
