Don't It Always Seem To Go...

As the horror of the new administration manifests over and over again (and in so short a time, too), it is helpful to remember just what we lost by the election of Joey Plugs over the far superior Donald Trump.  What follows are links listing the many accomplishments of Trump that has benefited this nation in ways most who refused to support him never knew, never sought to know and for many, simply disregarded for reasons moral, rational people still struggle to understand.  The first is a rather long list of accomplishments, most focusing on the moral issues.  For those who found Trump's character such that they couldn't "in good conscience" cast a vote for him, I'm left to wonder how they resolve that position with these acts made directly by him or came about as a result of actions he took:

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/the-full-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-shows-why-leftists-are-so-desperate-to-unperson-him?utm_source=LifeSiteNews.com&utm_campaign=50819d5e1c-ProFam_1_12_21&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_12387f0e3e-50819d5e1c-404735337&mc_cid=50819d5e1c&mc_eid=82eadc6db8

I'm especially interested in knowing how someone who would presume to write a cryptic post entitled "No Return" would at the same time oppose a president so beneficial to the disabled.

What follows isn't actually a link, of course, but was within an email newsletter I received on Jan. 20.  But it is brief list for those with a short attention span:

Built over 400 miles of the world’s most robust and advanced border wall.

Became the number one producer of oil and natural gas in the world.

Launched Operation Warp Speed to initiate an unprecedented drive to develop and make available an effective vaccine by January 2021.

Nominated and confirmed over 230 Federal judges including three Supreme Court Justices.

Stripped discretionary Federal grant funding from deadly sanctuary cities.

Suspended refugee resettlement from the world’s most dangerous and terror-afflicted regions.

Reversed the previous Administration’s disastrous Cuba policy, canceling the sellout deal with the Communist Castro dictatorship.

Completely rebuilt the United States military with over $2.2 trillion in defense spending, including $738 billion for 2020.

Defeated 100 percent of ISIS’ territorial caliphate in Iraq and Syria.

Reinstated and expanded the Mexico City Policy, ensuring that taxpayer money is not used to fund abortion globally.

Launched a new pro-American lesson plan for students called the 1776 Commission to promote patriotic education.

This next is a bit longer, and now we're getting to a point where some accomplishments will be repeated, but so what?  Those who refused to vote for the guy need to have their mistake repeatedly stated:

https://unapologeticrepublican.com/list-of-trumps-accomplishments/

This next had been posted before, and was offered in a comment by Stan.  But the benefit to America wasn't enough to make a difference to him.  The list was put together by Wayne Grudem and provides more detail about each point on the list, explaining the beneficial nature of each:

http://www.waynegrudem.com/list-of-25-good-things-president-trump-has-done-for-america

This last is notable for two reasons.  First, it is from Trump's first year alone and shows how much good he did in such a short time.  Secondly, at the top of the article, it provides a decent definition for "accomplishment" with regard to a president's work:

https://www.newsweek.com/trumps-first-year-his-top-82-accomplishments-786130

As the last link allows, "accomplishment" doesn't necessarily mean each act is a good thing, though I would challenge anyone to look at these lists and try to make the case there isn't far more good than bad in any of them.  I mean...really...good luck with that.

More importantly, each list proves...not merely provides evidence for, but actually proves Trump was not simply competent as president, but competent in a way most presidents haven't been, and certainly more competent than either his predecessor or his successor, neither of whom could provide a high bar for Trump to overcome.   Neither is or was at all capable.  Neither is or was as committed to what best for all Americans...assuming they've ever had any degree of such commitment at all.

74 million or more Americans understood what we've lost.  The rest?

He was so great for this country on so many levels. The puppet Biden is just going through the radical Leftists' laundry list of America-hating, abortion-loving evils day after day.

I look forward to Dan posting surveys from the two groups of political scientists and historians after Biden's first year in office. How much would you wager they'll rank him higher than Trump despite these lists of actual accomplishments? Again, I'm not opposed to arguing whether or not specific accomplishments have merit and/or have benefited the nation. We haven't gotten such a debate yet from Trump-haters.

I'm preparing a comparison to the new president for posting soon. In the eight days he's been in office, he's already done great harm.

Good Lord have mercy on your poor soul. Up is down, evil is good, disaster is wonderful, atrocities are beautiful.

What a sick, perverted, deviant and diabolical world you live in. How do you get up each day?

Get help.

Of your "achievements," I can see only one that might be counted as actually good, moral, rational and beneficial - the covid vaccine "warp speed" effort. Good on him for that.

It would have been MORE impressive if he wasn't constantly undermining Covid efforts led by experts and responsible people with his attacks and stupidly false lies. "It's no big deal..." "It will be over by April..." "You don't have to wear masks..."

Over and over, he undermined efforts to save lives and, as a result, we have a broken economy that is SQUARELY at Trump's feet and massive unemployment that is nearly solely his responsibility and hundreds of thousands of deaths that could have been prevented (and indeed, WAS prevented in other rational nations) that are deaths on Trump's back.

Beyond that, your "achievements" are nothing but a list of evil and failures.

Open your eyes.

One day, when you stand before God and God says to you, "WTF were you THINKING, thinking that this corrupt pervert and sick, lost soul was 'good' for ANYTHING but death and destruction, hate and perversion?" will you have the good sense to feel some shame and sorrow?

Marshal... "so beneficial with those with disabilities..."

1. Trump BEGAN EARLY in his administration by openly mocking a man with a disability in the most vicious and childish manner. Now, idiots will say, "No, that's not what he was doing..." But we can ALL see what Trump did. Don't be a useful idiot. When something happens that is EVIL (and make no mistake about it, Trump's mocking of that man was a great and perverted evil), recognize it and take a stand against it.

2. What the disabled and their advocates are saying, "Trump's new policy a "brutal and vile attack" on Americans with a disability..."

And on and on it goes. Don't speak about that which you are ignorant.

And STOP defending an utterly, historically corrupt and deviant pervert conman as if he were somehow not only imperfect, but actually GOOD. The man is an ass wipe on the honor of decency and morality and reason.

Open your eyes. Clear your brain out.

Seriously, what is WRONG with you people?

As to this "accomplishment..." "Launched a new pro-American lesson plan for students called the 1776 Commission to promote patriotic education."

The fact that historians and teachers recognize this as low grade propaganda more suitable to Soviet Russia than a public school system in a free republic says all you need to know, IF you care about expert opinion on stuff and things.

You clearly don't.

Experts say...

"The report actually consists of two main themes. One is an homage to the Founding Fathers, a simplistic interpretation that relies on falsehoods, inaccuracies, omissions, and misleading statements. The other is a screed against a half-century of historical scholarship, presented largely as a series of caricatures, using single examples (most notably the “1619 Project”) to represent broader historiographical trends.

The sections on the founders envision godlike men who crafted documents that asserted “universal and eternal principles of justice and political legitimacy.” Ironically, the report erases whole swaths of the American population-enslaved people, Indigenous communities, and women-the way the founders excluded those groups from the body politic in a wide variety of founding documents as well as actual public practice. In listing threats to the ideals of the nation, the report ignores the Confederate States of America, whose leaders, many clearly guilty of treason, initiated a civil war that claimed more than 700,000 lives-more American lives than all other conflicts in the history of the country combined. Instead, the authors focus on early 20th-century Progressive reformers and bizarrely suggest they were similar to Mussolini and other World War II European fascists. Of particular note is the implied condemnation of Progressive Era legislation-workplace health and safety legislation, regulation of the production of food and drugs, the elimination of child labor, and other social goods we take for granted today.

The report concludes with a full-throated assault on American universities, which, the authors claim, have produced what they call “deliberately destructive scholarship.” This scholarship is described as the “intellectual force behind so much of the violence in our cities,” including the “defamation of our treasured national statues.” The vast majority of targeted statues, as the AHA has noted before, honor either men who committed treason by violating oaths of office and taking up arms against the United States government, or whose main historical significance lay in their defense of slavery or other forms of white supremacy.

Written hastily in one month after two desultory and tendentious “hearings,” without any consultation with professional historians of the United States, the report fails to engage a rich and vibrant body of scholarship that has evolved over the last seven decades. "

https://www.historians.org/news-and-advocacy/aha-advocacy/aha-statement-condemning-report-of-advisory-1776-commission-(january-2021)

Low grade tripe.

Dan Trabue said...

Another professional historical scholar has this to say...

“Trumpians will eat it up as may Fox News,” he wrote to the Guardian. “No legitimately trained historian or teacher will even be able to read through it all without nausea.”

and...

"The 45-page report is a rebuke of decades of historical scholarship on the legacy of American slavery, but primarily was created as a response to the New York Times’ Pulitzer prize-winning 1619 Project, a deep unpacking of the origins and legacy of institutional racism in American history.

The commission, created in September, offered what they claimed to be a non-partisan review of American history.

However, that analysis included excusing the nation’s founders for owning slaves and defending the racist Three-Fifths Compromise – when in 1787 white lawmakers from northern and southern states agreed to count Black people as three-fifths of a person for congressional representation – as necessary to form a “durable union”.

Most of the authors listed at the commission lacked credentials as historians, and scholars noted the report was missing citations, bibliographies and scholarly references – resources typical of research commissioned by the federal government and its agencies, or regarded among academics."

The 1776 Commission is a childishly inept attempt at propaganda and brainwashing. Suitable only for the already brainwashed, but not for scholars or rational, right-thinking adults.

People are increasingly hearing, "Oh, I'm a conservative white Christian" and thinking, "Damn! We better hide the children and women... we got a bunch of deviants here!"

THAT is the image you're promoting of white conservatives, just so you know. Well, that, and being comically inept and idiotic believers in the very nuttiest of conspiracy theories.

I apologize for taking so long to approve Dan's comments for posting. I don't know why I don't get email notification for his comments. I've never marked them as spam or anything, but like Glenn, I have to go into the Blogger to get them. So here they are. It's not as if they were worth the wait, but...

"? Actual achievements?"

Yes, Dan. Actual achievements!

It's quite appropriate to argue as to whether or not his achievements have been beneficial...and they have...very much so...but to pretend they're not achievements is absurd. Obamacare was an achievement. Obama got that crap sandwich passed and we all suffered as a result. But it was still an achievement.

"Of your "achievements," I can see only one that might be counted as actually good, moral, rational and beneficial - the covid vaccine "warp speed" effort."

Then you're blind or stupid. Pick one because the result is the same given you pretend he's evil regardless. Considering the state of the economy prior to Covid, only a lying lefty moron would dare suggest his fiscal policies haven't been good, moral and especially rational because of how beneficial they were.

"It would have been MORE impressive if he wasn't constantly undermining Covid efforts led by experts and responsible people with his attacks and stupidly false lies. "It's no big deal..." "It will be over by April..." "You don't have to wear masks...""

"It's no big deal..." "It will be over by April..." "You don't have to wear masks..." Each of these can be traced to comments made by the sainted Dr. Fauci in the early days of the Covid scare. He'd have been better served with better experts than the likes of Fauci, but at least it shows he was indeed listening to them. What's more, he listened to a lot of them, a number of whom were better informed on the issue than Fauci himself. For example, the studies on the efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine prove Trump was more attuned to experts than liars like Trump-haters falsely like to believe.

"Over and over, he undermined efforts to save lives and, as a result, we have a broken economy...etc."

Crap and nonsense. His efforts to provide for more beds, more equipment and treatment options belie that idiocy for which you have no evidence. Leaving the states to handle their own policies was politically appropriate and deaths in Dem led states like New York are solely at the feet of their governors for their moronic policies which led to the unnecessary deaths of so many elderly. The states are responsible for the shutdowns that destroyed the economy Trump had resurrected from the malaise of the Obama years. What's more, had he interfered with how the states took care of business, he's have been accused by assholes like you of being a dictator.

"Beyond that, your "achievements" are nothing but a list of evil and failures.

Open your eyes."

I put together this list to open YOUR eyes (as well as the eyes of others who didn't support his reelection). You choose to cling to irrational and baseless hatred of the guy whose single term was far more beneficial to more Americans than anything Obama did or Biden will do.

Marshal Art said...

"1. Trump BEGAN EARLY in his administration by openly mocking a man with a disability in the most vicious and childish manner."

You're a liar. I'm not surprised you still cling to this one, debunked fully shortly after Trump-haters initially tried to make this absurd claim. He wasn't mocking the dude's disability. He was mocking his lame comments and the desperate back-peddling that came after being rebuked with facts, in the same way he's mocked others who did the same. But you're such the grace-embracing hater, you likely never looked into it beyond the original false accusation. Like other Trump haters, you accept as true any disparaging report regardless of its truth or lack thereof.

As to the rest of this comment, I'll have to investigate more than the superficial reading of the headlines you believe are supportive evidence validating your hate. I know you haven't done that, and unlike you, I actually read links my opponents provide.

Marshal Art said...

"2. What the disabled and their advocates are saying, "Trump's new policy a "brutal and vile attack" on Americans with a disability...""

As this Snopes piece demonstrates, those who would "lose" would be those who are no longer eligible. But Trump-haters have never been honest about the details. This is particularly true of grace-embracing "progressive" "Christians", as I'm sure you saw an anti-Trump headline which got you aroused and you posted it without the least bit of research.

"3. Trump denying support to folks with disabilities..."

This would be laughable if it was so evil in it's intent. 6 hours a day versus 8 hours a day is not much difference for someone with with any kind of debilitating condition. If one can work that many hours per day, how is the person actually so disabled as to necessitate limited funds? There will always be those who are on the bubble. But to put those who are without question in need at risk for the benefit of those who are not does not seem just in my mind. But fakes like you just want those who have worked harder than you to donate to YOUR satisfaction to those YOU think are entitled to the wealth of others.

"4. Again, denying benefits/support to those with disabilities..."

This absurd point makes a subjective claim regarding those determining eligibility and their ability to do so objectively. Lefties always think they're beyond ideological influences in their decision making, while those not lefties are somehow unable to act objectively.

It's second point again makes the absurd attack on the change in frequency regarding how often one's eligibility is reviewed, because lefties can't help but regard any attempt by Trump or conservatives to improve costs and efficiency as some kind of heartless attack on the disabled. Lefties like you are too hateful and stupid to realize that such enhancements improve the lot of the truly and severely disabled by freeing up more of the limited funding for their benefit.

More later...gotta go.

Your chosen sources are typical leftist sources distorting the facts.

"And STOP defending an utterly, historically corrupt and deviant pervert conman as if he were somehow not only imperfect, but actually GOOD. The man is an ass wipe on the honor of decency and morality and reason."

What are you talking about? I'm not defending Biden, Clinton, or Obama. I thought we were talking about Trump!

"Seriously, what is WRONG with you people?"

We're enamored with truth, facts, honesty, reality, rational thinking and intelligence. What's wrong with YOU?

Marshal Art said...

You once again appeal to "experts" who are in a real sense, among the reasons the 1776 Commission was founded. Your link from the AHA is not honest about what the 1776 report's intentions were or what it actually says. Indeed, it goes out of its way to accuse the report of falsehoods without actually citing any. One lie is that the Commission involved no historians or scholars. But of course, Victor Davis Hanson alone is very knowledgeable about history, given it's his "thing".

http://hillsdalecollegian.com/2021/01/1776-commission-releases-patriotic-education-report-biden-rescinds-on-first-day-in-office/

More telling is the claim is laughable in the face of those who signed the AHA statement. Just look at this list and note those with the asterisks:

*American Catholic Historical Association
American Folklore Society
American Library Association

Just going by the names of on the list, half are not dealing with American history, which makes them no better than those who are on the 1776 Commission. Were I to investigate more deeply, I would surely find more should be subtracted. What we have here are likely just leftist organizations that aren't truly lovers of America at all and thus, their corruption of history is exactly what those on the Commission are referencing when describing what's wrong with our educational system and how it presents American history and America itself.

more coming...

Marshal Art said...

The complaints about the 1776 Commission report fails to understand what the Commission intended and for whom it was put together. It was NOT to satisfy "historians" and "experts". It's main purpose was to respond to the bullshit 1619 revisionist history that seeks to indoctrinate our young in the false belief that it was slavery that built this nation and the reason it exists. But of course, you embrace those who embrace that lie and wish to perpetuate it and ram it into the minds of our young.

In the meantime, the 1776 Commission report begins with acknowledging the failures and foibles of our founding...doesn't at all whitewash them, but instead focuses on American principles the founders saw as essential. There's not true and honest criticism that can be leveled against the 1776 Commission report and you should take the time to read it, rather than, like a sheep, accept what your "expert historians" have to say. Use your own mind, if you are at all capable (I hold out no real hope in that regard).

If there's anything that can be justly referred to as an "attempt at propaganda and brainwashing", it's the 1619 Project and those who revise the history of our nation to frame it as one of abject oppression and evil. It's what honest people call "lying".

On to your next lie:

"And look at this nonsense claim... "Suspended refugee resettlement from the world’s most dangerous and terror-afflicted regions."

Suspended REFUGEE resettlement from DANGEROUS places.

?

He STOPPED helping REFUGEES in DANGEROUS places.

And YOU see this as a moral and rational good?"

This might be put forth as a legitimate concern if it didn't intentionally omit important context. Trump suspended refugee resettlement because there was no viable means of vetting any from those countries who claimed to be refugees. Unlike lefty morons, rational people aren't willing to let just anyone into their homes. There must be some hint of benevolence on the part of those expecting it from us. This is especially true when known bad actors proclaim their intent to cross our borders under the pretense of being victims of their own evil. Given the duty of government to protection and security of its own people, this is most definitely a moral and rational good. But you, being a fake Christian hater of Donald Trump, prefer to exploit this basic and necessary governmental duty as a sign of evil...because you're a liar. May the real God in Heaven have mercy on your sick, twisted soul...assuming you have one.

Marshal Art said...

"Do you at least see how, to the majority of the rational and moral world, you Trump defenders are coming off as grotesquely evil, promoting the worst of human atrocities in the name of the most publicly corrupt pervert to ever serve in the White House?"

As always, Dan, you humorously regard yourself as having a grasp of the rational and moral. You have no such grasp. What's more, you refuse to show how you might...or recognize without admitting you have no possible way to show you do.

Here's something else you can't explain:

"The damage you all are doing to the conservative movement is unbelievable, as well as the damage to the evangelical church."

What "damage"? You simply prove yet again how little you understand conservatism or evangelicals...the latter because you aren't truly Christian.

"People are increasingly hearing, "Oh, I'm a conservative white Christian" and thinking, "Damn! We better hide the children and women... we got a bunch of deviants here!"

THAT is the image you're promoting of white conservatives, just so you know."

HA! The reality is that's just the lie you tell yourself about conservatives (we are more than merely white people, racist).

"Well, that, and being comically inept and idiotic believers in the very nuttiest of conspiracy theories."

That's hilarious given your comments about conservatism and evangelicals!

"Tell me Marshal, do you think that Trump should have done more to stop the Jewish space lasers from starting those forest fires?"

I don't know. Do you think Guam might tip over? Do you think every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs? Do you think poor kids are just are just as bright and just as talented as white kids? And if you truly want to talk abut stupid things said by politicians, I offer my first piece of evidence:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIA_Cj93gYs

I can get you Hirono or Jackson-Lee or even Pelosi if you like (I'm especially fond of Sheila Jackson-Lee complaining that the National Weather Service hasn't used "African-American" names for hurricanes). For the love of all that's holy, your party is the epitome of stupid talk just by reading their platform!

Lord, Lord, Lord, have mercy and protect us from your followers!
